Motivational kick-off


Fill all employees with enthusiasm at the start of every year

Task

An international company in the consumer goods industry takes up the challenge of inviting the whole German organisation across all hierarchical levels to a kick-off event at the start of every year. In order to ensure that the participants’ enthusiasm does not wane over the years, interesting and stimulating presentation methods are required.

Implementation

Since 2008 Systemische Beratung Düsseldorf has developed every year new presentation methods tailored precisely to the company’s current situation. Due to this sensitive fine-tuning, which not least of all
also picks upon on the current mood among the employees, the company manages every year to bring everyone up to date, to fill everyone with enthusiasm and to lift the whole organisation.

Build on Strength


Award for strengths-oriented approach

Task

How can employees in the competitive environment of an innovative technology company get set for the future in a strengths-oriented manner?

Implementation

As part of the “Build on Strength” measure, Systemische Beratung Düsseldorf developed a management development programme on behalf of the company that was geared towards strengths-oriented organisational development and was booked out for years. The company’s employees were invited to find out their strengths and systematically build on these in target-group-specific programmes. The overall “Build on Strengths” concept, to which the management development programme made an important contribution, was awarded a prestigious prize.

Network linking


Realise cross-departmental synergies

Task

In an international German technology company ten networks are active. The Personnel Director is convinced that networks are hugely important and hold a lot of potential synergies. Systemische Beratung Düsseldorf was assigned the task of activating these synergies.

Implementation

100 representatives of the networks and 100 managers of the company met at a large group event. In the morning the networks presented themselves with the help of entertaining network slams. In the afternoon the competences and different points of view were interlinked in four event rooms. The success of the conference was down to the order in which the networking took place: differentiation before integration.

Top management development


High-performance, high-energy teams within six months

Task

In one of the most innovative technology companies in the world, the question that was asked was what development opportunities could be offered to extremely experienced and highly-trained managers.

Implementation

A strengths-oriented management development programme was put together that had a fixed structure and online content as required. A closed group of twelve managers met over six months every six weeks for two days at a time to learn with and from one another, to top up their knowledge and to network. With external guidance, the participants got to know and appreciate themselves and each other better in terms of their expertise. Their ability to utilise diversity in expertise and behavioural preferences to achieve the objective grew steadily. As if by magic, new high-energy, high-performance teams emerged time and again during the course of the development programme.

Business Evolution Lounge


Personality development in a relaxed atmosphere

Task

Where can I find support for current career challenges and have the opportunity to develop my personality in a relaxed atmosphere on a casual and ongoing basis?

Implementation

The “Business Evolution Lounge” coaching format specially created by Helga Brüggemann and Sofia Bustamante was held for seven years with great success in Düsseldorf Airport. Individuals with different issues met for two hours after work in Düsseldorf Airport for a clearly structured Lounge with varying topics.

Participants repeatedly fed back how valuable it was for their everyday management life to regularly reflect on their own behavioural patterns and that they learned to handle them in a strengths-oriented manner. The format tried and tested in open and closed groups is now being continued in a modified form in the offices of Systemische Beratung Düsseldorf.
